Time to say goodbye to RagVim Communicate So it began 18 years ago when I launched RagVim and purchased our first domain, ragvim.com. The vision was clear: to create some of the most useful online services for India, built from within India itself. At that time, email was quickly becoming a necessity, but only a handful of international services—like Rediff, Yahoo, Hotmail, and Gmail (which was still in its early, invitation-only phase)—were available. I envisioned creating an Indian email and chat service as our flagship product. Thus, RagVim Communicate was born. It allowed users to easily sign up for an email address with @ragvim.com and connect with friends via chat. The early growth was exciting, and it was a proud moment when, just two years after launch, Gmail started following our Twitter account! Though I was skilled in technology, business was a whole new challenge. Despite introducing innovative features—like translated emails and chat services as early as 2012—Communicate struggled to keep up with other rapidly growing global email providers. Over the past five years, the service has primarily been maintained to support our loyal users, though over time, many of these users have gradually moved on. After much thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to shut down RagVim Communicate. This wasn’t an easy choice, and I sincerely apologize to all the users who trusted us and made Communicate their primary email service. We’re grateful for the years of support and trust you've shown, and we hope you'll continue to believe in RagVim as we focus on growing our other products and services.

Do you ask for “quick chat sometime this week”? It kills your cold email campaign: - It’s vague - It sounds like a time-waster - It doesn’t stand out Instead, use CTAs that deliver value first. Try this: - Can I send you a short video showing how it works? - Would it be okay if I send you {lead magnet}? - I baked you a pie, but you can only get it if we book a demo 🍰

Gmail now summarizes your inbox messages. Think about that. Emails have become so overwhelming that we now need bullet point takeaways to make sense of them. So here's a thought: why don't we just write our emails in bullet points from the start? Who else here has ran an email through ChatGPT to get the key takeaways? Admit it. It's ok. You're in good company. For fun, I asked my sister to send me an email to show you this feature. This is your nudge to make your emails and website copy skimmable. • Bullet points are favored. • White space is appreciated. • Getting to the point makes people happy. Yes, there are times when a longer email is necessary. However, when it doubt, bullet point it out. Are you team bullet points or full story? No judgment here either way!

#SDR and #BDR pros (really, any salespeople): If your messaging doesn't bring value, it will be ignored. Executives use their inbox as a "To Do" list. If it needs to be addressed, the email stays in the inbox for review. If it's not of immediate concern or related to a challenge/priority, it's gone before the reader gets to the end of the first sentence. And don't fool yourself into thinking "Did you get my last email" and similar "bump" replies will get someone to ready below the break. It won't. Instead, launch with value: "As a (persona), you're probably concerned with how (ABC challenge) is keeping you from meeting your (XYZ goal or priority). If I'm on the right track, let's connect. I can show you the value we've brought to other (vertical market) companies facing similar challenges." Concise, clear, and if you know your ICP, directionally accurate in your hypothesis.

Three ways reps follow up on a cold email. “Any thoughts?” “Just bumping this to the top of your inbox.” "We're hosting a webinar on using ChatGPT prompts to boost cold email response rates. Would you be interested in attending?"

Just had a founder tell me 'Cold Emails Don't Work Anymore' Made me smile. Because I know exactly why they're failing. 1. They're using Apollo.io/ZoomInfo for building their data lists. 2. Sending the same ChatGPT cold-email templates as everyone else. 3. Completely ignoring the value of a good cold-email infrastructure. After helping 50+ clients fix this, here's what actually works: 1. Using intent signals/buying triggers to find warm prospects and then enriching/verifying contacts with Boomerang 2. Keeping first touchpoints < 50 words, no pitching, no calendly, skip attachments/website links in signatures 3. Focusing on infrastructure, 25 days min warmup, setting up DNS properly, keeping domain forwarding in check To be very honest, cold emails aren't dying, bad practices are. I've got a whole playbook for fixing deliverability issues (the same one we use for our clients). Comment "cold-emails" and I will send it over to your DMs. :) #leadgen #coldemails #sales #warmleads
